Packuro Privacy Policy

Packuro (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a packing-list app developed by Roger Paris. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: roger.parisvicent@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address when you create an account (via Firebase Authentication).
• Your content — the packing lists, list names, items, and categories you create. Stored with Google Firebase (Firestore) so your lists sync across your devices.
• Trip suggestion inputs — when you request packing suggestions, the destination, travel dates, and activities you enter are sent to our backend and processed by third-party services (Groq, for AI text generation; a weather data provider) to generate suggestions.
• Usage analytics (optional) — only if you consent, we collect anonymous usage events (screens visited, features used) via Firebase Analytics to improve the app. No advertising and no cross-app tracking. You can decline or change this anytime on the Profile screen.
• Abuse-prevention data — we keep limited request logs (your account identifier and request metadata) to enforce rate limits and protect the suggestion service.
• Crash & diagnostic data (optional) — if you consent to analytics, we collect crash reports and diagnostic data (device state, stack traces) via Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix bugs. This is not used to identify you.

How we use information

To provide and sync your lists; generate trip-based suggestions; maintain security and prevent abuse; and, only with your consent, improve the app.

Third-party services

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check); Groq (AI processing of suggestion inputs); a third-party weather data provider. These process data on our behalf. Firebase infrastructure used by the app is hosted in the United States.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen — this erases your lists, your account, and related records.

Your rights (including GDPR/EEA)

If you are in the EEA, you may access, correct, delete, or export your data and withdraw consent. Delete everything in-app, or contact roger.parisvicent@gmail.com.

Children

Packuro is not directed to children under 16 (or the applicable minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
